Formation skydiving (4 Way) is the most appreciated parachute competition discipline. It is regulated under the FAI (Federation Aeronautique Internationale) and its parachute commission IPC (International Commission parachuting).

Team of 4 competitors jumps from a plane at an altitude of 3.000 m  and perform different kind of formations in free fall at a speed of 180 km / hour.

The combination of 16 simple and 22 complex formations is drawn before the competition starts. Competitive jump lasts 35 seconds then competitors open their parachutes and land.

The fifth member of the team flies over the formation and record the competition jump with a video camera attached to the helmet. Judges evaluate competition jump on the video that the cameraman present to them after landing.

Would you like to become a skydiver? Fly among the clouds, jump out of airplanes and land safely under open parachute?

Sky Dragons organize courses for new skydivers by advanced progressive freefall Skydive School AFF (Accelerated Freefall).

Vertical wind tunnels with powerful engines and propellers create air flow rate at 180km/hour and more. On that air flow skydivers learn to fly and practice different competition disciplines.

Compared with jumping from a plane, team can do to up to 1.5 hours of wind tunnel flying per day, which is comparable to 90 training jumps from a plane.

Team Sky Dragons mostly practice formation skydiving in wind tunnels in England and USA, where team members also organize training camps for students and other skydivers.

You can find more info about our camps on our Facebook page.
